Tickets for The Rewind Era go on sale Wednesday 12th November at 10:30am
Tickets can be purchased directly through the Laycock Street Theatre website.

Jazz: Black Jazz Shoes and Tan Tights
Tap: Black Tap Shoes and Tan Tights
Lyrical/ Contemporary: No shoes (Petite/ Jnr/ Empire Bay Classes) and Half Turners (Inter/ Pre-Teen Classes)
Cheer: White shoes and White socks
Hip Hop: Any Black or Black/ White shoes and White socks (e.g. vans, converse, or any shoes you may already own)
Musical Theatre: Jazz Shoes
Ballet: Ballet shoes and Ballet Tights
Acro/ Tumbling: Barefoot
Please be aware that under stage lights, dark coloured or patterned underwear does not look good under light coloured costumes. Please make sure your child is wearing flesh coloured underwear.

All dancers will be required to wear a middle part slick low ponytail with the exception of ballet that will be required to wear a low slick ballet bun.
You will need to use a lot of hairspray/gel and a fine tooth comb to achieve the slick look and possibly multiple elastics. Please also use an elastic the same colour as their hair.
Ponytail is to be straight. Bun net may be required for buns.
Please note, for boys neat and tidy hair is all that is required. No colours or crazy hairstyles please.
Stage makeup needs to be heavier than normal day makeup.
Please note, boys are not required to wear makeup.
No Jewellery is to be worn (including earrings), please leave all jewellery at home. Also, please remove all nail polish.
For our end of year concerts we require parent backstage helpers for each of our shows to assist with students backstage. If you think you will be able to assist us backstage at either the Saturday or Monday concert, please send us an email admin@mhdance.com.au and we will confirm with you. We do have number requirements for each concert backstage, so please contact us if you are interested in helping backstage so that we can add you to a list (it will be first in). Please note when helping backstage we do require you to help with ALL students in your allocated group/ dressing room, and you will need to help everyone not just children you know.
Please note, no additional people will be allowed backstage if we have not confirmed a backstage position with you via email. Please only email us if you are interested in helping backstage. Then all allocated backstage parent helpers will be confirmed by us via email
If your child has any Medical Conditions that may require attention whilst in our care or are carrying any medication with them, please notify our supervisors before the day as well as when you sign in.
Please label EVERYTHING!!! Backstage can be fast paced and we want everything to make it back to its owners. Please label all costumes, dance shoes and any belongings you bring to the concert on the day.
Students will stay backstage with our team. If your child’s routine is only in the first half, they can be picked up at intermission (the show order will be confirmed in the next few weeks, then you will know which half your child’s routine is in). Please note on the Monday night, we do have an on stage presentation and finale which is at the end of the concert.
Please pack water and snacks for your child to have on concert day when backstage. Please note that the Saturday concert will go into lunchtime and the Monday show will go into dinnertime. We suggest bringing enough food for your child.
Concert Recording
Please note the Monday night concert will be professionally photographed and recorded on the night. This is also our presentation night, where every child receives a medal on stage after the finale.
We are so excited that this year we are able to include videography in the one Concert Fee package for everyone! To make things easier for our families, we’ve bundled everything into the one performers fee payment. Please see below for a full list of what’s included in your Performers Fee.
This fee is includes:
A limited-edition concert T-shirt – a special keepsake for our performers! We love our limited-edition concert t-shirts as these t-shirts then double as a new uniform item to be worn in classes!
A concert medal – awarded to every child as a celebration of their amazing performance
Professional Videography – This year a concert video will be included in everyones concert fee. Last year this was an additional cost ($60 per video link) and we are excited to include it in this years concert fee so that everyone has access to relive those special memories for years to come! Trust us, our dancers will absolutely love re-watching themselves perform on stage and dance along together! It's truely a memory you will keep and treasure forever!
Performer’s participation fee – covering each dancers involvement in the show and behind-the-scenes costs. This fee includes the stage rehearsal, staff and theatre costs for both the Saturday and Monday concert
Please note, this fee must be paid prior to the concert to ensure your child’s participation and inclusion in all of the above.

We kindly ask that no flash photography or personal video recording takes place during the performance. Professional photography and videography will be provided so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the show without distractions.

No, only our teachers, staff and approved backstage helpers will supervise and care for all performers throughout the show.
YES! we have two concerts so that students have two opportunities to perform on stage. Each routine has special spots and formations where we require all students for both concerts.
No, only audience members will require a ticket, dancers do not require a ticket
