Our History
The MH Dance Academy was founded in 2017 by passionate dancer and choreographer, Mikayla McKinney. Since then, we have been providing high-quality dance education to students of all ages and levels.

My family couldn't recommend MHDA more. My eldest daughter started at 3 years old and was very shy, lacking confidence. Miss Mikayla guided me in ways to encourage her and went the extra mile ensuring she felt safe and comfortable in class. Whether that be greeting us instantly getting down on her level chatting with her before taking her in, communicating with her staff about where she was at and what she needed or even just finding her a friend, she did it. This dance school values a child's emotional and mental wellbeing as much as they do the dance. They make connection, kindness and respect apart of every single class and I can say with my hand on my heart it's because of Miss Mikayla and her team that now two years later I have a confident 5 year old who has come leaps and bounds with her social skills and made improvements in other elements where she showed fear because of the care she has received from her dance school. On the other hand my second born started in the Mums and bubs at 1 and is a total wild child at not one point was I made to feel anxious if she was running around in class and again we were met with total patience, embracing her fun and allowing her to express herself in a safe place while learning boundaries Miss Mikayla and her team are passionate, caring and accept every child for their unique self's. I'm in awe of this school and so proud of my two little dancers and the growth they've made because of these wonderful ladies in the past two years! 5 stars EASILY!!!!

My Daughter has been at MH Dance since she was just shy of 2 years old. The atmosphere is welcoming and positive. Miss Mikayla is very accommodating and is always happy to answer any questions. All of the Staff at MH Dance are wonderful and show a kind nature. We look forward to another awesome year!

Our daughter started dancing at MH Dance
Academy two years ago and we are now heading into our third year of dancing. She absolutely loves going to all her classes each week, performing in show team, mid and end of year concerts. She has made great friendships with both the students and teachers. The love and dedication the team at MHDA show our daughter is unmatched.
We thank you MHDA for creating such a beautiful and humble dance community for all your students and their families.
